Endless Wood is an atmospheric 8-bit survival-maze game for Android that drops you into a vast forest, danger moves beyond the reach of your vision, and the way out is never where you expect it to be. Each new game procedurally generates a different maze with a randomly placed exit, turning every attempt into a fresh struggle for escape. There is no route to memorize and no single solution to follow. You must explore, adapt, and survive whatever the woods place in your path.

 

A shifting fog conceals the forest around you, revealing the maze only as you travel through it. Your health is limited, your inventory must be managed carefully, and the supplies scattered throughout the woods may determine whether you escape or become trapped among the trees. Wolves roam the maze and will attack when they find you, forcing you to decide when to fight, when to flee, and when to use the environment to create another route.

 

The forest gives you several ways to survive. Stones can be collected and thrown as weapons. A compass can help you by guiding you in the general direction of the exit. An axe allows you to break through certain trees, opening new paths and giving you another option when the maze seems determined to keep you imprisoned. Character abilities and useful pickups add another layer of strategy, while multiple difficulty settings allow you to choose how unforgiving you want the journey to become.

 

Every run is timed, challenging you not only to escape but to improve. The maze changes. The exit moves. Resources appear in different places. Threats interrupt even the best-planned route. Success depends on observation, navigation, resource management, and knowing when the direct path is not necessarily the safest one.

 

With directional character animation, environmental sound, looping music, and adjustable music and sound-effect levels, Endless Wood creates the feeling of being isolated inside a living labyrinth. It is easy to enter, difficult to master, and designed so that no two journeys through the forest unfold exactly the same way.

But somewhere inside them, there is always a way out.

BATTLE MODE

The maze is only one way to die.

Endless Wood also features a local multiplayer Battle Mode where players connect over the same Wi-Fi network and fight together against relentless hordes of zombies. This is not a race toward an exit. The battlefield is open, the undead never stop coming, and the only objective is to survive for as long as possible.

​

Players must keep moving, watch one another’s backs, and use every weapon they can find as each successive horde pushes them closer to being overwhelmed. Cut through nearby enemies with swords, fight from a distance with pistols, scatter tightly packed groups with grenades, or unleash the devastating power of a bazooka when the battlefield becomes overrun.

​

Every weapon changes how you approach the fight. Firearms provide distance but demand careful aim. Swords force you into dangerous close-quarters combat. Grenades can clear groups when properly timed, while bazookas deliver tremendous destructive power against large concentrations of enemies. Choosing the right weapon at the right moment can mean the difference between surviving another wave and joining the horde.

Battle Mode transforms Endless Wood from a solitary struggle for escape into a frantic cooperative fight for survival. Gather your players, connect locally over Wi-Fi, enter the arena, and see how long you can stand against an enemy that never runs out.
